The very first issue of Always Toward the Light: A New Dawn has now been released, and I want to take a moment to thank the gifted voices who helped bring its pages to life.
To Mac Carol, Mandy Mazzawi, Mary Harwell Sayler, and John Losoya—your words, reflections, poetry, and art have turned this magazine into something more than just ink on paper or pixels on a screen. You have created an offering of beauty, faith, and light, and I am deeply grateful.
Our printing partner, MagCloud, has helped us produce this beautiful publication, and now it’s available for everyone to enjoy. You can order a print copy to hold in your hands, download a digital edition, or even preview a portion of the magazine online to see what it looks like before you dive in.
Every order—whether print or digital—does more than give you something uplifting to read. The few dollars we receive go directly toward the real costs of production, printing, distribution, and marketing. Since we currently carry no paid advertising, your support is what makes this mission possible.
But more than that, Always Toward the Light isn’t meant to be something you only glance at from time to time. We want it to become part of your life—something you look forward to, something that nourishes your spirit, and something you find real value in on every page.
Our next issue, Light Has Come, will be released this Advent season in December. If you feel called to contribute—whether with a conversion story, reflection, article, poem, or work of art—we would love to hear from you. You can see the submission guidelines on page 15 of the current publication through the link below. I’ll also post guidelines in our next newsletter here in the next day or so. If you’re interested in being a part of December’s issue, please reach out at hello@alwaystowardthelight.org.
For now, I invite you to join us in celebrating the work of our first contributors by ordering your copy today. If it’s not possible to purchase a print copy, the digital copy is only a few dollars. Most of all, your prayers are requested so that we can continue this effort. Together, let’s keep turning our gaze always toward the light.
Wishing you well!
Blessings!
John Henry
