Something to hold - in both your hands ... and heart!

Hello friends,

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to Notes of Light, an initiative to share something truly authentic with our audience at Always Toward the Light. Over these years, we have been sharing articles, notes, and stories that come from the heart, aimed at delivering thoughtful conversation, stories, and reflections that are good for the soul. Now we want to share more, but in a different way—through the mail. Yes! Mail. Not a newsletter. A letter. Not something that gets skimmed over in an email box that is filled with spam, but something that you can hold, and perhaps keep nearby for when a quote or a verse that you read might be most meaningful and invite another look.

Notes of Light are written by me, delivered to you, and include added reflection, scripture quotes, or a prayer that might spark a moment that you didn’t plan for. You can receive Notes of Light for yourself, or perhaps you might know someone who is in a long-term health care facility, or correctional institution, who would benefit from something personal, something written just for them.

Notes of Light is a pilot initiative right now for a three month term. $10 covers the cost of postage, writing paper, wax seal, printing, web hosting, credit card processing fees, and maybe a cold soda while I put it all together myself at my desk. The truth is … I don’t really know if there is desire for this! But, I’d like you to give it a try and let me know if the effort (required by both of us) was truly worth 32 cents a day. If I demonstrate the value that I intend, then you might wish to keep it going. If not, then you helped me explore something truly meaningful in a world where people are rushing around with little time to slow down long enough to read a letter that arrives by mail.
